Another one bites the dust!

It ain't over till the fat lady sings!

What a match! For those of you who missed the Carling Cup final between Manutd & Spurs, well, SCREW YOU. I had to follow the match via live text and believe you me, it was effing awesome.

In his pre-match press conference, Fergie said he was already preparing for the Newcastle match on Wednesday. Arrogant, cocky, over confident? Hell no!

2 words - MIND GAMES

Fergie got it right again. He undermined the competition and played it down in his priorities. Deep down inside, he knew that it would be downright retarded to let go of a possible quadruple.

The match was tough on Spurs after a game in which both sides were equally matched, denying them a repeat of last year's triumph - but it is a real glory day for United keeper Ben Foster, who will have impressed watching England coach Fabio Capello. United have the Carling Cup in the bag - and can now turn their attentions to the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League after an almost perfect weekend.

Manchester United's win opens up another spot in the Uefa Cup for a Premier League side. Losing Carling Cup finalists don't qualify - which will please Harry Redknapp, who isn't such a fan anyway. Good news for the likes of Everton and Arsenal.

Elsewhere, in the Premier League, Liverpool, Arsenal & Villa all dropped points. After all, nobody expected the Liverpudlians to pose any threat to United. Arsenal, well the less said the better. Villa were undone by 2 late goals from Stoke and Chelsea scraped a 2-1 win.

It is United's title to lose now and the rest of the season is poised to be a thriller!

Here's the answer for last week's question:

David Beckham's sons' names : Brooklyn, Romeo & Cruz'

The 1st picture is the Brooklyn bridge
The 2nd one is William Shakespeare, the author of Romeo & Juliet
The 3rd is Penelope CRUZ

Slightly absurd question, nonetheless a good one!

The right answer was given by Ankur Johar, who will be guest blogger for a week and will be giving me his inputs.

INJURIES - GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS

First, the good news... Sir Alex Ferguson says Anderson could be back in action inside a month after injuring his ankle against Derby County.

"We sent Anderson for a scan and there’s no break," Sir Alex told us today. "But there was some ligament damage. We think he’ll be out for three weeks."

Now, the bad news... ten players will miss the Tottenham match tomorrow.

"The ones who are out [for the Spurs game] are Rio Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Rafael, Patrice Evra, Wayne Rooney, Wes Brown, Jonny Evans, Ji-sung Park and Owen Hargreaves. Nani suffered a groin injury and he’ll be out for a week. Jonny Evans [ankle] will be out for three weeks.

"We still have Dimitar Berbatov, Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo fit. But we will have to call on some young players. I’ve called in Richard Eckersley and Fabio [da Silva], who could be involved."
